
Larry Holland. Visual Artist
Originally from Arlington, Massachusetts, Larry studied at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Massachusetts College of Art. Larry moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1992 and now lives in Decatur Georgia. He currently focuses on mixed media and photography. Some of his notable public art initiatives include the Decatur Box Project; Secret Doors Decatur; the quote signs for the #gawrites literary quotes gallery, which were later replaced with original artwork created by top local artists, a project he calls 'Look Up Decatur'; and the yellow animal crossing signs that hung throughout Decatur in 2014-2015. In 2015, Larry was named a Decatur 'Hometown Hero' for his distinctive public art installations. He has worked with Gathering Wild dance troupe doing lighting and photography and donates art decks to SkaterAid every year. He is an active participant in Free Art Friday Atlanta (#fafatl) and he regularly curates art shows at Trackside Tavern.
