#lookupl5p Sign Project Registration
Call for artists for the Look Up Little Five Points sign project! Signs are $20 each and limited to one per artist. Signs measure 12"x18" (think your typical 'No Parking' sign) and can be purchased at the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club Tuesday, 8/29 from 7:30pm-9:30pm or can be picked up locally thereafter--no shipping. To get an idea of what this project is all about, take a look at photos from the #lookupdecatur project on Instagram that is currently installed in Decatur Square. The #lookupl5p signs will be installed slightly higher than in the past in an attempt to prevent theft and tagging, but no guarantees--two or three signs disappeared in Decatur.
You will have the opportunity to sell your #lookupl5p piece at a curated show when it is time for the signs to come down. If you are interested in painting multiple signs, there may be an opportunity for a pop-up sale during installation or to hang a few in some spots left in Oakhurst.
Depending on participation, this project may be implemented in two rounds, so first come, first served. Additionally, sign placement is due to organizers' discretion.
Design Guidelines:

All sign designs must be vertically oriented.

Designs should not be offensive or contain any traffic lights, signs or signals.

Designs cannot include any breach of intellectual property, trademarks, brands, business names or images of drugs.

Signs should be cleaned and degreased, scuffed with sandpaper and primed before painting to help ensure paint will adhere well and stand up to the elements.

Please seal painted signs with multiple layers of a UV-rated clear-coat to avoid fading issues that have happened in the past.

Signs should be monitored by you for as long as they are hanging. Please check on your sign occasionally to ensure it is kept free of tagging in order to maintain the quality and integrity of the project. Please report any vandalism as soon as possible so the sign can be taken down, if necessary.

Signs are due by 9/20; they may be shipped to or dropped off at Fishbone Art, 142 McLean St., Decatur, GA 30030. Installation will begin the weekend of 9/23.
